Structured French Five is our fifth level and the first stage of the intermediate programme. It represents an important step towards greater confidence, precision, and independence in French.
At this stage, learners move beyond the foundations to develop greater accuracy, nuance, and control in both spoken and written communication. A central milestone is the introduction of the perfect tense, allowing learners to speak confidently about past experiences and events.
Particular attention is also given to adjective agreement and placement, prepositions across a variety of contexts, and more nuanced question structures.
Vocabulary expands through themes such as countries, cities, restaurants, humour, appearance, personality, emotions, colours, and taste, encouraging a more natural and expressive use of French.
As always, each concept is introduced progressively and practised systematically to ensure accuracy, confidence, and control.
